Personal Blogging Goals

I recently started another blogging course and I have always been interested in specific blogging goals. I find that if I don’t make goals pertaining to my blog, I don’t stick with them. For the next few months I want to focus on some goals that I really want to see through. I’m going to share my top three… let me know what you guys think …

My first goal is to spend at least one hour each week visiting my followers’ blogs, reading their posts, and commenting on their work, from now until June. I really enjoy comments and interacting with other people, it gives me so much life when someone comments on a post I created. The comments I receive give me such joy, and I really want to build better relationships with my fellow bloggers. Therefore this is a goal that I am really looking forward to putting in action.

My second goal is keep up with my weekly features. Currently right now I have:

  • Thrift Of the Day or Threads of the Day ( Thursdays )
  • Friday Favorites
  • Fab Five Blogs ( Saturdays)

Weekly features are so much fun to me. I want to make sure that I make time for them each week. From now until March 27th, I am going to make it my duty to keep these posts up and going as scheduled.

My last goal and one I find most important , is to stick to a steady set of posts each week. Initially I wanted  to post something everyday, and it started to become difficult. I like to make sure that my posts are well thought out and written and that can sometimes be time-consuming. I’m going to shoot for 4-5 posts a week. What do you guys think? I’m eager to know how many posts other bloggers post throughout the week. Being that I am a new blogger, and trying to grow my blog, I am curious to know what other bloggers think is a sufficient amount of weekly posts…

Well … I think these goals are pretty achievable. It’s all about sticking to them! If you guys have any suggestions or feedback, I would LOVE to hear about it. Also, if you have some ideas, or want to share your goals let me know. I enjoy bouncing ideas off of one another =)

Mid -Week Progress | Weekly Goal Challenge

On Sunday I created a Weekly Goal Challenge, if you missed it … view here !

Well as far as my goals for my business. I completed that today. The delivery was on time and everyone LOVED the products. YAYYYY!!! I’ll post pictures at the end of the week.

Another role of mine was Blogger: My goal in this category was to create a blogging agenda. I have started one, and I think I have some weekly features that I would like to stick with.

My other role was daughter: My goal was to spend some time with my parents this week. I spent time with Mom today, so Dad is next on the list.

Thats my update! If you would like to join the challenge please let me know =)

First I want to say thank you to the fabulous Valery for the nomination. Her blog is amazing and one of the first blogs I started to follow. Check her out here!

What is the Liebster Award?

The idea of the Liebster Award is to help spread the word of new upcoming blogs. Emphasis on those who are relatively new to the world of blogging.

  1. Thank and link the person who nominated you.
  2. Answer the questions given by the nominator.
  3. Nominate 11 other bloggers, who have less than 200 followers and link them.
  4. Create 11 new questions for the nominees to answer.
  5. Notify all nominees via social media/blogs.

Here are the questions from Valery, with my answers:

What/Who inspires you most in life and why? My parents. I have been a mess in my life. Fortunately I was blessed with an amazing family. My parents are amazing, they are supportive, and they continue to show me unconditional love. They inspire me to be the best I can be, to reach further in life, and embody power and greatness. They are just really great people. They are genuinely good human beings. I think its important to be a good human being.
Do you think love has a universally meaning or is that something one has to find meaning to as they go through life? I think one has to find the meaning of “Love” themselves.  Its something you define as you go on in life. For example, I had my first boyfriend at 16-17. At the time I thought that was “Love.” As time went on, I went and had other relationships and fell in love with a young man when I was 20. The relationship did end, but it was then that I realized I found a new thought of love. There is no definition. Love is an experience.
Do you like where you are at in your life right now? I am actually VERY happy at where I am in life right now. I finally am at a place of balance. I still need work, but I am definitely on the come up.
Would you change anything about yourself? What and why? I am driven off of emotion. I’m a very passionate person. It has its good and bad. Everything I do is with much enthusiasm. I’m just extreme. That can have its downfalls if you rub me the wrong way.
Have you learned to be your own friend? I’m the best friend I’ve ever had. I can eat by myself. Chill by myself. Talk to myself.  I love being by myself. What better friend to have than yourself?
What is the best thing you’ve ever read? My favorite book is “Night” by Elie Wiesel.
What are the aims and goals you have for your blog? I want to write and share my thoughts with people. The more the merrier, but I’m not really caught up on numbers.
Where do you live? Wouldn’t you like to know 😉 lol
Where do you want to grow old? I have no idea. I haven’t gotten that far yet.
Do you believe in soul mates? Yes. I believe in soul mates more than marriage. Its all about connections and vibes with people. A piece of paper doesn’t keep people together, an amazing connection does.

My Questions:

What makes you happy?

What is your favorite quote?

Do you have a hero?

How did you figure out the name for your blog?

What blog post are you the most proud of?

What is your definition of success?

What are three things you want in your lifetime?

What decade are you most fascinated with?

What new blog has grabbed your attention as of recently?

Name your three favorite albums.

How long have you been blogging?

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

January 10, 2015

Wow I am so honored and so thrilled to receive this nomination! Thank you so much! This is my first nomination so I’m pretty excited. I want to give a huge thank you to Lauren for this nomination. I am sincerely grateful and I appreciate it so much. Lauren has such a wonderful and insightful blog. You guys must go and check it out here .

The rules are as follows:

Thank the blogger who nominated you, linking back to their site. Put the Award logo on your blog. Answer the ten questions sent to you. Make up ten new questions for your nominees to answer. Nominate seven blogs.

These are Lauren’s questions to me and my answers!

1. What did you hope to achieve by starting your blog? I didn’t really have a specific goal in mind when I started my blog. I sincerely just wanted an outlet to share my thoughts and interact with other people. I had been contemplating starting a blog for a while. I think it’s the perfect platform and I’m glad I chose to do so.

2. What is your favorite thing to write about? My favorite thing to write about would be the posts where I’m sharing my personal experiences. I also enjoy helpful posts, such as awareness type posts. Anything that can possibly help out or encourage another person… that’s what brings me the most joy when blogging.

3. What do you enjoy reading the most? Hands down self-help books. I recently started my own business so most of my reads as of now are business related. Business related books and daily devotionals. I appreciate a good devotional book.

4. Can you find inspiration easily or is it only occasionally you find something that gets your attention? Life is inspiring. There is something everyday to be written about, and I always look forward to sharing. Sometimes I do have a lot of ideas going on, so I do have to sort those out sometimes, but for the most part I’m always ready to go.

5. Do you wish to continue your blog for many more years to come? Absolutely. That is a dream of mine. Thats the plan.

6. What have you always wanted in life and have you ever got it? Wow. These questions are really good! lol. Umm… I think I’ve always wanted a peace of mind. To get to a place in life where I’m at peace, I’m content and I feel full. As of right now my mind is still a little mad, so I’m still working on my peace of mind. I know such things come in time. So no… I haven’t gotten it yet, but I’m working on it.

7. What is the best compliment you have ever received? That I’m a good person.

8. What was your first thought when you woke up this morning? Why did my ex call me at 2:30am. Like… WHY.

9. If you could be any age for a week what age would it be and why? I’d stay the age I’m at. With every year of life I get a little older and wiser. I’ve had so much fun growing up, I was a fool in college, but I like the sense of self I’ve attained over the years. I’m definitely a much more balanced and well-rounded person.

10. What cheers you up? Being around good company cheers me up. I love to laugh and enjoy myself. If I’m in an atmosphere that provides that, I’m definitely going to cheer up.

My 10 questions for my 7 nominees :

  1. Why did you start blogging?
  2. What are your dreams and goals for your blog?
  3. Do you have a specific post that you are really particularly proud of?

Blog Apps?

I recently got into blogging. I’ve been exploring the blogosphere, and so far I can dig it. I’m finding that different blog apps have different things to offer. As of right now I use my WordPress app and this other cool one: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/13354671/?claim=rx4gfpc6fq2″>Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I like Bloglovin because it has an amazing search engine, and it allows you to add your blog. Overall, it’s a pretty easy app to use. I’m not super computer savvy, so I appreciate a no nonsense app.

What apps do you guys use?
